Prayer requests

By the time you read this, SpeakOut has already started. We have a record number of campers, more than 350 students signed up for the three weeks! Keep praying for the campers:

· that they would get on well with their tutors, that they would have a great time together

· the relationships between campers and Hungarian staffs: good Speak Out Groups, where campers can get to know the Hungarians as well, and that these would lead to great conversations

· that good relationships would form that God can use in the future

· that we would see the opportunities to serve towards the campers, and we would be available to them

We continue preparations for BHHP and the FÉK Teacher Symposium in October. We expect about 30 participants from the U.S.A. during this evangelistic week. Please pray that all can raise the necessary funds for their trip to Hungary! Every year there are a growing number of Hungarian students whose lives are changed through this event.

The annual FÉK symposium at the first of October is likely to attract about 300 teachers, many of them non-believers. Teachers’ budgets are leaner than in any previous years. Our organization subsidizes the cost of this. We need lots of prayers there as well, that the financials work out well.

On Sunday I will drive to Prague, Czech Republic to audit their books with Bela (Albanian lady). Czech has a strong Athletics in Action ministry. We will have three days to look through everything and give a riport to the leadership in fourth day (Thursday). Please pray for us to arrive safely by car. It will be snowing. It is about 6 hours drive.

I will attend a women's conference from January 20-23 for all of our staff women and some others who had been invited for this. Pray that this would be a refreshing time for all the women serving with us, especially in their walk with God and in their vision for our ministry.

Prayer request

First of all I want to say THANK you! I am very grateful for your commitment to the Hungarian ministry and me. Thanks for your donations, too. I got enough gifts to stay in the ministry next year. Maybe you remember for my request in December. God provides a nice amount that is why I won’t need to travel to raise support next May and I can continue my ministry in Hungary. However, I would be happy to visit you :), but I can save lots of money if I don’t go. I would like to be a better steward with support that God gives me through you. You have been so gracious over the years, and for that I give thanks to the Lord.

Please pray for me!
1. I have a privilige to go to Bulgaria. Bulgaria is part of our Area in Eastern Europe. Maybe you remember I got a training to make audits in last November in Romania. From February 15th to 21th I will make an audit in Sofia, Bulgaria to check the Bulgarian books. I will be the first audit that my collegues (she is Romanian) and me do. So, I need you prayer to do a good job.

2. Last days in February I go a training for staff in background ministries (finanences, operations). I was invited and asked to give an devations. The devation is a challenge for me. I have to talk about evangelization and dicipleship in background ministry. They thought of me because I am involved in our campus ministry and an evangelization serious in my church ( I lead a small group discussion). Please pray for my English, everybody understand me :)

Prayer requests

In the next two week I will go to Romania twice. Tomorrow I will go to Kolozsvar with our campus team. It is a fairly big city and lots of Hungarians live there. We go to help starting a ministry among Hungarian campus students. Please pray for appointments with students who got Survival Kits. On Tuesday evening we call them and ask appointments to next day. On Wednesday evening there will be an evangelistic event. The topic is personality types.
Second time I will fly to Bucharest, the capital of Romania for audit training. I got an invitation to study about how we can check accounting of Campus Crusade ministry in other countries. It is a good opportunity to develop my knowledge in finances. Please pray for my studies!

A HUGE ANSWER OF PRAYER

Many of you had been praying for our legal status. Finally we got an answer from the tax office and from the Department of Finance from the Government and our staff doesn't have to pay tax after donations received from individuals through Crusade. Many of you were praying for this, thank you!!! This is very crucial for our ministry due to the burden we had to carry. Now hopefully this will make it possible for our staff to receive full paychecks (or close) from January 2009.

Prayer requests

1./ September 20-28 we’ll have 19 volunteers coming from the States helping our reach campus and high school students. Pray for great success and effectiveness during that time.

2./ Our legal reorganization is still in process. The law is so complicated that the tax-office decided to ask the governments input clarifying some of the questions we have regarding handling donations tax-free. Pray with us that the government would give us the tax-free status as a religious order.

3./ August 29 - September 5. 1st round of the Survival Kits distribution. Pray for the students that they want to get the Survival Kits and after it they want to talk about Christ.

Prayer requests

This Saturday we are going to have a Girl-Guy-day for students in our ministry. This day we talk about dating, marriage, sex, etc. to students from Biblical perspective. I will give a testimony about singleness. Pray for this would be encouraging to the students to live godly life in this sensitive area.

We’ve sent out the invitations for the YTL symposium in end of March for every single school in Hungary. Pray that many new educators would come and spend the last weekend of March with us to learn about YTL and hear the good news of Jesus Christ. Pray for us as we prepare.

Happening in January

Happy New Year!!!

Bible School

We started January with Bible School. Every staff member have to develop their knowledge of theology. On Monday we started to learn about Old Testament except books of Pentateuch. Today we learn about David and books of Samuel. It is very interesting because we explore so many things that I have never known by myself.

Area Staff Conference for Eastern European and Russia

The topic is renewing our passion, pursuing our mission. We will have two main speaker, and seminars, devotions, praise and worship, cafe, free activities. We will listen about ministry for different countries. I think it will be very encouraging to listen what God does in other countries.

This pictures was taken three years ago in our last Eastern European Conference. Now there will be about one thousand staff member in Tihany, Hungary.

Please pray for this conference!
