Last Friday we had a special Christmas outreach for students and high school students . About 130 young people came. Andras, a 21 years old student who became a Christian a few years ago through our movement was sharing his testimony and the gospel. 80 students filled out a comment-card and 26 indicated that they would like to be invited to a Bible-study small group.
On December 6th we had a special celebration that we had invited everybody who was and is on staff with us in Hungary and are friends of this ministry and happens to live in Hungary. We celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the first missionary crossing the Iron Curtain and move to Hungary and start Campus Crusade here. God blessed beyond imagination that risky and heroic act. God deserves to be celebrated for the thousand of miracles He did during this 30 years both under communism and after the fall of Iron Curtain! People prayed for 70 years for communism fall and so we can’t forget to remember back for the miracles of what has happened! Last weekend I visited my family. It was a good to spend time with them. On Saturday my sister participate a folklore event. In the Hungarian traditional wedding there is a MC who lead the happenings in the reception. Their names are "vofely". There was a conference for them. They showed their knowledge in the stage, they told poems. Everybody wore traditional dresses. It was so interesting. My sister is a member of folklore dance group. She really enjoys it.
Here is the first snow in Hungary. It is snowing all day. When I came out from the office I had to clean my car because it was covered with 2-3 cm snow :) Unfortunately, it starts to melt :(
While I was in Romania our campus ministry organized a retreat in a former communist camp. We had a great weekend together with 120 students who are involved in our ministry. Every year we have two retreats, that last for a weekend, for high school and university students. Many of them became Christians in the last few months or year. These days were a good opportunities to build our friendship with them.
Barbi’s story was one of the couple we’ve listened to. Barbi is a university student and she grew up in a non-Christian background. No-one in her close and extended family is a believer. She grew up not even hearing about God. When she went to university she met with Petra who is one of the volunteer leader in YTL. They were preparing together to run a marathon and going to the Iron Man competition. During this time Petra shared Christ with Barbi and she accepted Christ 6 moths ago. Petra started to disciple her and now Barbi is sharing her faith and stood up in front of 120 students and boldly shared how God has changed her life.
I had an opportunity to participate an audit training in November 2-12. Our leader, Helena in Campus Crusade for Christ taught us to check books of other countries. Four of us, Yuri from Moldova, Bela from Albania, Emil from Bulgaria and me were in Bucharest. We worked hard and studied a lot. Every morning we listened lectures and every afternoon we practiced what we learnt, and check the Romanian books.
It was a very good trip. On Tuesday after we arrived we went to invite students with fliers to an evangelical event on Wednesday. At the evening we called students for appointments. We had their name and phone number from Survival 
Kits distribution.
Almost everybody wanted to meet with us. They are very open and religious. It was easy to talk about gospel. On Wednesday evening the students were coming and coming to our lecture. We didn't have enough seats, students sat in the floor and stood in the corridor, too. It was incredible! We just stood and praised God! Comments of students were very positive in the respond cards. God blessed our trip. Thanks for HIM and for your prayer!
Every staff member in the Campus Crusade spend a day with prayer in every half year all over the world. We praised God with singing, studied Bible and we prayed for personal prayer requests and our ministry events in Hungary, Eastern Europe and in the world.
We had YTL Club in one of Economics School's dorm. This dorm is very close to my apartment, in the next corner. We were in this dorm with BHHP project. Our student leader who lives here is very enthusiastic to reach her dorm with gospel. She helps to organize the YTL Club. We would like to talk about topics that interest the students.
Last Monday we had the first Club and about 20 students come down for about 2 hours to talk about relationships. Most students were a bit quiet, but some had something to say to every question. I had opportunity to share my testimony.
We are planning four more evening in every two weeks. We would like to talk about men and women rules in a relationship. Please continue to pray for openness in this dorm.
Many of you had been praying for our legal status. Finally we got an answer from the tax office and from the Department of Finance from the Government and our staff doesn't have to pay tax after donations received from individuals through Crusade. Many of you were praying for this, thank you!!! This is very crucial for our ministry due to the burden we had to carry. Now hopefully this will make it possible for our staff to receive full paychecks (or close) from January 2009.
The Bringing to the Hungarian Harvest Project (BHHP) was extremely good, effective and busy. There was over 2,000 evangelistic SSKs distributed to freshmen on universities and hundreds filled out the survey attached to it and indicated that they want to talk with someone about God. We had 2 major high school assemblies where over 350 students gathered at each school. 
We gave a YTL talk on sex and invited them to the high school outreach .There was about 60 campus students at the campus outreach on Monday. We shared the Good News with more than 100 students through "random" personal evangelism on campuses. There were 3 great dorm outreaches where we had deep conversations with students about the gospel . We had dozens of English classes in campuses and universities and invited students to the campus and high school outreaches.
STORY ABOUT ONE OF DORM OUTREACHESLast Saturday our American volunteers arrived to help reaching campus and high school students. On Sunday they visited a church and they had a lunch with our staff members. I invited three of them into my flat. It was a really good time to know each other. At the evening we went to our office and our ministry leaders introduced our ministries and they got a short cultural training.
Now when I am writing these words they are learning about how they can share the gospel in the universities.

This is really a fun time for our team and students! And a great time to reach this new group of freshmen while they are still fresh.
1./ September 20-28 we’ll have 19 volunteers coming from the States helping our reach campus and high school students. Pray for great success and effectiveness during that time.
2./ Our legal reorganization is still in process. The law is so complicated that the tax-office decided to ask the governments input clarifying some of the questions we have regarding handling donations tax-free. Pray with us that the government would give us the tax-free status as a religious order.
3./ August 29 - September 5. 1st round of the Survival Kits distribution. Pray for the students that they want to get the Survival Kits and after it they want to talk about Christ.

I celebrate my 10th year anniversary as a staff in CCC.
Last week we had our annual staff conference. Each year we spend together 5 days with the staff who are serving in
This annual conference strengthens our community, our mutual understanding of our calling and is a great opportunity to prepare for the coming ministry year. We feel so privileged to work together with these missionaries. These staff gave their life for the call of evangelism and discipleship and all of them made significant sacrifices to stay in the ministry. God blessed us with a great team of people.
We had a great 4 weeks long camp with American tutors, Hungarian volunteers and Hungarian non-Christian students. The Americans served toward non-Christian campers, the Hungarian Christian volunteers did beach and street evangelism. We had 45 Americans and 50 Hungarians in the project and 291 campers in three weeks. 
In the camp were many activities like American Culture Night, Sports Day, Staff hunt. We had a gospel night where we shared the gospel in Hungarian. In conversations, morning classes and personal group time the American students could share the gospel and their own testimony. The Hungarian students did surveys on the streets of Keszthely and at the beach. Through the last 3 question of the survey we had many conversations, and we could share our faith easily. I am very glad for this project.

We approached 1750 people, 926 of them heard the whole gospel and were challenged for decision. 49 of them received Christ.
Two great stories that happened with our staff members (they share them with their own words):
1. It is happened with Virag, a high school ministry staff .
“As I walked back to the camp in Keszthely, I needed to cross a road. Until I waited for a car passing I began to talk to a lady who stood next to me. Very soon she was talking about God and the New Testament. I was surprised and asked her if she was Christian. It turned out that she reads her Bible at home. We had a great conversation and at the end Eva (her name) invited me to her home (since she lives here at Keszthely). I visited her with one of our student staff, Kinga, and what we heard was a real surprise.
She was a member of the Communist Party, and after communism fell she began to search for extraterrestrial intelligence. On a train trip someone told her to read the Bible in order to understand the truth. She has been reading her Bible now for 16 years and understood that God created the Universe, and ma
nkind is sinful. She knows a lot about Jesus, but the picture is still not completely clear about the way of Salvation. We had such an awesome conversation. Eva learned Bible verses by heart (like John 3:16), was talking about how important to share about God with others, read the Bible regularly etc.
Can you imagine? She was never heard any teachings about Christian life! What she understood is from the Bible, from God’s living Word.
She is so teachable. Just as thirsty people want to drink, she was thirsty to hear about the Truth. Her situation reminded me when Philip met the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:30-31).
Eva wants to understand what she is reading. As we explained the Gospel, she was listening and asking questions. We visited her with Csaba again and gave her follow-up materials. We will keep in touch with Eva and help her to understand more clearly what it means to walk in faith with the Lord.
You need to know that she is a 70 year old widow lady. She kept telling us all the time: Nothing happens by chance. Yes, God has a perfect plan and He knows the next step.”

Our summer English Camp, Speak Out starts this week. We are looking forward working together with more than 40 Americans and over 40 Hungarian students to evangelize hundreds of Hungarian students.
