Prayer requests

By the time you read this, SpeakOut has already started. We have a record number of campers, more than 350 students signed up for the three weeks! Keep praying for the campers:

· that they would get on well with their tutors, that they would have a great time together

· the relationships between campers and Hungarian staffs: good Speak Out Groups, where campers can get to know the Hungarians as well, and that these would lead to great conversations

· that good relationships would form that God can use in the future

· that we would see the opportunities to serve towards the campers, and we would be available to them

We continue preparations for BHHP and the FÉK Teacher Symposium in October. We expect about 30 participants from the U.S.A. during this evangelistic week. Please pray that all can raise the necessary funds for their trip to Hungary! Every year there are a growing number of Hungarian students whose lives are changed through this event.

The annual FÉK symposium at the first of October is likely to attract about 300 teachers, many of them non-believers. Teachers’ budgets are leaner than in any previous years. Our organization subsidizes the cost of this. We need lots of prayers there as well, that the financials work out well.

Wipo: Easter Sequence

Christians, to the Paschal Victim offer sacrifice and praise.

The sheep are ransomed by the Lamb;

Victorious king, thy mercy show!

During the Easter Sunday liturgy, after the Second Reading and before the Gospel Acclamation, the Easter Sequence is read or sung. This liturgical poem, composed especially for the feast of Easter, was written by Wipo of Burgundy, a priest and chaplain to the Holy Roman Emperor, Konrad II. Wipo died about 1050 AD. One thousand years later, at the beginning of the third millennium, this beautiful poem, written at the beginning of the second millennium, can still resonate in our hearts. This sequence, Victimae Paschali (Paschal Victim) can be prayed during the Easter season.

My trip in the USA

Thank you very much for your help to stay with you, to organize a party, to have a breakfast, lunch or dinner with you. I don't have enough words to appriciate everything that I got from you during my trip. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!

A special weekly meeting

Two days ago we had a full house at our weekly meeting. 210 students showed interest in coming to an event where we had two speakers. One: a media star, the other a baptist pastor. One: a non believer, the other a believer. They are good friends. How? The pastor leads the Baptrist Charity Organization in Hungary. The media star writes book son disaster areas of the world. So they traveled a lot together.

Two days ago they agreed to come and share their stories. Both from the world and from their personal lives. So the Gospel was presented in a unique way! The students loved it! So did I!

I love the many different ways there are out there to present the one message Jesus has entrusted to us!

And now: we will follow up all those students who are interested to meet with us becuae of this fun, unique, meaningful event!!

Purple Day

When you take blue and red, what do you get? Purple! That is why we chose the name “Purple Day” for our “Girl-Guy” day – a whole day where we teach Biblical principles about relationships between the sexes. For many students, this is the first time in their lives to hear what God has to say on these topics.

Our staff could spend a very blessed day with our student on the “Purple Day” where we had more than a hundred students. Many-many students were interested in many seminars e.g. “Friendship between guys and girls – is it possible?”, Respect Between Men & Women, What Youʼre Communicating, The Heart Of A Godly Woman, Win with your eyes, mind and heart!, Danger of pornography.
It was a really blessed!

All Campus Crusade staff are invited to attend the ASC this week in Slovenia.We listen interesting speeches and we see country spotlights about our ministry from different countries in Eastern Europe. It is really encoureging to get a picture about God's work e.g. from Bulgaria, Russia. 18 countries and approximately 1000 staff member are in our area.
